Meet Japanese Kisha Teapot & Cups Gift Set, handcrafted by craftsmen from Awasaka. Established in 1961, Awasaka is a Japanese ceramics maker based in Gifu Prefecture in Japan renowned for its Mino ware heritage.

Named after "railway train" which is "Kisha" in Japanese, such teapots were sold since the Meiji era til the 1950s at train stations with "ekiben" which are meals packed for travelers to be eaten on the train during a long journey and thus the teapot set is a retro item that evokes the charm of traveling on a slow train. Each piece is handcrafted, showcasing unique shapes and colors.

The lid of the teapot doubles as a cup, offering versatility, allowing two to have a tea time. The teapot can be used for pouring sake as well. It is easy to store—just place the cup over the lid, and it can be compactly stored without taking up much space.

The teapot set comes packaged beautifully in a branded box, thus perfect for gifting
