Meet our Japanese Okinawan Ceramic Mini Cups with Brush Pattern, handcrafted by craftsman Yoshinobu Teruya of Teruya kiln. Two cups are sold as a set and are perfect for serving sake or tea. They differ slightly in size and shape as shown in the product images.
Yoshinobu Teruya started working as a driver for the master craftsman of Nio Kiln in Tsuboya but became interested in ceramics and became his apprentice. After completing his training, Teruya built his own kiln in Onna Village in the north-central part of Okinawa. The kiln is fired only once or twice a year, making these ceramic pieces from the kiln hard to obtain.
