Meet our Japanese Shigaraki Ceramic Beige/Camel Brush Work Tea Bowl, handcrafted in Shigaraki Town, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, Japan. Located in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, Shigaraki is one of Japan's six old kilns, with a history that goes back 1260 years. In 1976, Shigaraki-yaki (Shigaraki ware) was designated as a traditional craft in Japan. The bowl is of a relatively shallow depth and is perfect for making thick (Koicha), frothy matcha.
