Meet our Japanese Shigaraki Tsuki Ceramic Cup, handcrafted in Shiga Prefecture in Japan. Located in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, Shigaraki is one of Japan's six old kilns, with a history that goes back 1260 years. In 1976, Shigaraki-yaki (Shigaraki ware) was designated as a traditional craft in Japan. Tsuki (月) means moon in Japanese, and as such this cup has the mood of the moon surface. The cup is perfect for serving tea or sake. On the bottom of the cup is potter's mark. It comes beautifully packaged in a wooden box, thus perfect for gifting.
