Meet our Japanese Tokoname Ceramic Kyusu Tea Pot, Dark Brown, handcrafted by craftsmen in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, the historic center of kyusu production. Tokoname ware has a history of 1000 years and is one of the six oldest kilns in Japan.

Each kyusu is handmade, from the molding of the body, lid, spout, tea strainer, and handle to the final firing process. The tea strainer is made of fine mesh ceramic that has no metallic smell and brings out the aroma and flavor of the tea to the fullest. The more you use the teapot, the deeper its color and luster will get over time, making it even more charming. It comes packaged in a box, thus perfect for gifting.
