Korean Buncheong Ceramic Carved Silver-Footed Cup

Meet our Korean Buncheong Ceramic Carved Silver Footed Cups, wheel-thrown and handcrafted by a ceramist in Korea. The cups were fired in a kiln after being brushed with white clay, which is one of the decorative feature of Buncheong ware unique to Korea, and then glazed with transparent glaze and fired in the kiln for the second time. Then, the carved stems are coated in sterling silver and fired for the third time. By nature, sterling silver does oxidize and leaves patina which can be easily cleaned with baking soda. These cups are perfect for serving sake, soju or tea.
