Korean Buncheong Mini Moon Jar, Crane Motif

Meet our Korean Buncheong Mini Moon Jar with Crane Motif, wheelthrown and handcrafted by a ceramist in Korea. Crane (학) represents longevity in Korea, and as such, this glazed vase is a perfect gift to wish one's longevity. This mini moon jar was fired in a kiln after being dipped in white clay slip, a technique called Dumbung Buncheong (덤벙분청) which is unique to Korea, and then glazed with transparent glaze and fired in the kiln for the second time. 

 The crane motif is painted by hand in 12k gold.

There is ceramist's hallmark on the lower bottom of the jar.
