Korean Heugja Ceramic Black Gaiwan, L

Meet our Korean Heugja Ceramic Black Gaiwan, L, wheelthrown and handmade by a ceramist in Korea. This is a lidded tea brewing cup for loose tea leaves so you do not need a teapot. Either you can drink out of it when drinking alone, or when serving yourself and a guest, you can pour the brewed tea liquid into a serving pitcher or a lipped tea bowl and then serve it into each tea cup. It's sturdy but light enough to hold with one hand. Black clay ("Heugja" in Korean) makes a beautiful natural texture, glazed with transparent glaze.
